William Morris Entertainment Endeavor (WME)’s central focus for the project was the 3 C’s: collaboration, communication, and culture. Relocating from a mostly private office setting, the design firm created an open neighborhood concept, seating six talent agents to a bay of assistants in the center. Each neighborhood is organized as a communal space intended to foster collaboration and impromptu conversation.
In lieu of traditional conference rooms, living-room inspired lounges offer a comfortable alternative for casual meeting and conversation, each being inspired by a famous music venue in Nashville. A multi-functional two-story gathering stair establishes a vertical connection between the levels and captures the duality of WME as both an internal space for meeting/learning and a performance/party venue complete with framed views of the Nashville skyline.
The 14th floor café serves as an employee eating area by day and a bar and serving area for parties and events at night. Mid-century inspired furniture paired with contemporary systems product continues the juxtaposed duality theme and completes the tasteful, music-inspired aesthetic.
