Global talent agency UTA moved their Nashville headquarters to a historic, mid-century building in downtown Nashville. The building was originally built in 1965 as the city’s main public library and was restored by Hastings Architecture in 2019.
The bold interior aesthetic of UTA’s 15,000 sq ft suite blends the company’s LA & NYC roots with the creative spirit of Nashville. A contemporary color palette is accented with darker tones and textures to create an environment expressive of UTA’s rich culture and talent.
Demountable architectural walls were incorporated to create glass fronts on an array of meeting rooms and private offices. Two different wall frame finishes were utilized to create a seamless look with the surrounding architecture.
Responding to the dramatic arched windows of the building facade, custom desks were designed to provide both functionality and flexibility within the narrow private offices. Unique ancillary furniture creates a highly curated style, reminiscent of the “gallery of talent” UTA represents. Overall, the design successfully embodies the sophisticated brand of UTA, respecting the past while looking creatively towards the future.
