Samford University – Gaston & Mann Halls

Gaston Hall, Mann Hall, & Crider Commons

This new residence hall complex creates a dynamic, welcoming living environment for first-year students, reinforcing Samford University’s close-knit campus culture. With a strong emphasis on shared social space, the dorms feature a wide range of amenity areas designed to foster connection, comfort, and community.

In addition to social gathering areas, the facility thoughtfully integrates spaces for both individual focus and group collaboration, supporting students’ academic needs beyond the classroom. A seamless indoor–outdoor living experience is achieved through the development of Crider Commons, which offers a variety of lounge spaces for studying, relaxing, and socializing adjacent to the residence halls.

By centralizing all freshman students within this new residential complex, Samford delivers a world-class residential education experience that enhances student life, strengthens community, and advances the university’s vision for the future.
