Red Mountain Theatre

Since 1979, Red Mountain Theatre (formerly known as Summerfest), has been providing quality local theatre and theatre-related programming to the Birmingham area. After 40+ years of nomadic operation across 10 different facilities, the organization finally established their own home. This dynamic, new campus brings all their creative services and support spaces under one roof. The overall aesthetic of the project embraces the industrial style of the architecture while reflecting the creative nature of their work through color and texture.

Due to being a nonprofit, the budget was incredibly aggressive. The furniture not only had to meet quality and affordability standards, but it also had to embody the creative spirit of the organization. This was primarily accomplished through the selection of lively and colorful upholsteries. Overall, the interior spaces provide a cohesive, engaging backdrop that accents the creative body of work put forth by the company.
