Every detail from the woodland setting, landscaping, architecture, interior details, and furniture create an immersive and tranquil environment for patients, guests, and staff alike.

Cohn Plastic Surgery creates a luxury, resort-like experience for their patients by transforming the institutionalized expectations of a traditional medical setting. The overall aesthetic is warm and coastal, playing mainly off neutral colors and natural textures. Natural daylight and views to various courtyards reinforce this connection to nature.

To provide a more intimate, cozy experience, the ancillary furniture aims to strike a more transitional, residential chord. One of the greatest challenges with this project was finding commercial-quality furniture that aligned with this design intent. Due to supply chain challenges and exceptionally long lead times, local craftsmen were enlisted to create a number of custom pieces that both met the project schedule and achieved the desired aesthetic. For a medical facility, fabrics and finishes must maintain not only a certain level of durability, but cleanability. Because of this, bleach-cleanable fabrics were incorporated in a way that provided this needed performance without compromising on texture or style. Overall, the interior provides a cohesive, calming experience that elevates patient care to new heights.
