Biso Collective’s passion for technology, innovation, and developing Birmingham’s entrepreneurial culture led to their relocation to The Switch Innovation District, a vibrant, new development geared towards creative startups and small businesses. Biso’s building, a 1926 historical building originally built for the Tennessee Coal Iron & Railroad Co, required a complete renovation and transformation into the tech company’s new headquarters.
The space is designed to encourage collaboration, flexibility, and idea sharing, even outside the walls of their own organization. Biso hopes to use their facility to encourage connectivity within Magic City’s entrepreneurial community and continue to boost high quality jobs in Birmingham. The design of the facility supports these goals by providing a variety of flexible meeting spaces, collaborative areas, and creative tools. Aesthetically, the historic, rustic backdrop is contrasted by bold, vibrant colors through wall graphics and furniture textiles that further enhance the creative, casual culture.
